Nowadays, we are encouraged to take care of our bodies. Eat healthy, go to the gym, de-stress. Usually on the run, between other appointments. I had the opportunity this weekend to get physical, to sweat without an instructor counting reps, telling me what glute was being worked or counting down the minutes until stretch time. We were stacking wood, lunging, tossing, stretching, surrounded by forest, overlooking a lake. And it was exhilarating. I felt in touch and alive. We NEED to get out in nature, get physical, wake up out senses and our mind. Go walk barefoot in the forest, soaking in it's colours and texture. Jump in the lake. Fly a kite. Literally. |
